Invisalign: The Invisible Option
Clear aligners (Invisalign) are a very popular option, particularly amongst adults who have always wanted to straighten out their smile but are put off by the thought of traditional fixed metal braces.
The aligners fit over the teeth like a very thin transparent mouth guard.
They are very comfortable and easy to wear and can be simply removed for eating and tooth brushing. The big bonus is that they are almost completely invisible - only you and the orthodontist will know!
Another option is the use of ceramic brackets and wires. These are a little more ‘traditional’ as the brackets are cemented to the teeth, unlike the Invisalign which is removable. However as the wires and brackets are all tooth coloured ceramic, they do have a very discreet and wholly acceptable appearance.
